A 15-year-old cyclist has suffered critical injuries after being involved in a road collision with a car in Cornwall.
Devon & Cornwall Police were called at about 20:10 BST on Tuesday to reports of a crash on an unclassified road at Trethurgy, near St Austell.
The incident, involving a bicycle and a red Suzuki car, saw the boy taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth before being moved to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, officers said.
The road policing team closed the route in both directions while the scene was examined by a specialist forensic collision investigator, they added.
