A Sussex MP said his "much-loved" vintage Land Rover Defender was stolen from a railway station car park while he attended Parliament.

The Conservative MP for Arundel and South Downs, Andrew Griffith, said the car was taken from Pulborough railway station on Thursday between 11:45 and 16:20 BST.

The MP said the Defender had a number of identifying features and he is offering a "substantial reward" for its return or any information leading to its recovery.

A spokesman for the British Transport police said it received reports that a vehicle had been stolen from the station car park on Thursday.

Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact the British Transport Police or Crimestoppers.
