A man has died in a two-car crash in a north Nottinghamshire village.

A 57-year-old man from Derbyshire died at the scene of the collision in Lincoln Road, East Markham, near Tuxford, at about 06:45 BST on Wednesday.

His identity has not been released by Nottinghamshire Police.

The other driver, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with injuries that police said were not thought to be life-threatening.

The force said she was assisting police with their inquiries and appealed for witnesses, including anyone with dashcam footage at the time of the collision, to come forward.

“His family is being supported by specialist trained officers at this incredibly difficult time.”
