Woman sought after tram conductor slapped

CCTV images have been released of a woman police wish to speak to

Officers investigating an assault on a tram conductor have released CCTV images of woman they want to trace

South Yorkshire Police say the conductor was slapped by a passenger onboard a Supertram service to Middlewood at about 16:40 BST on 8 October.

The force said the passenger then got off the tram without paying the fare.

Anyone who recognises the woman - described as being between 30 and 40 years old, of medium build and with shoulder-length brown hair - is asked to contact police.
