Dozens of firefighters have tackled a blaze at a home in Birmingham.

West Midlands Fire Service said five fire crews were called to Warwick Road, Sparkhill, just after 14:00 GMT.

About 30 firefighters went to the mid-terraced, two-storey building, where the fire had spread into the roof.

Firefighters checked neighbouring homes to make sure the fire had not spread, before they left the scene with the fire out at about 15:30 GMT.

No-one needing rescuing from the house, the brigade said.
