Two people in hospital after chemical spill

Two people have been taken to hospital and another person has been treated by paramedics following a chemical spill in Devon, police have said.

The incident happened at about 10:30 GMT on Friday in Sheepwash, near Hatherleigh.

Emergency services, including the fire and ambulance services, attended the scene.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said the spill had been contained and there was no further risk to the public.

The condition of the two people in hospital was being assessed, police added.
