Week of events for anti-social behaviour awareness

Events to raise awareness of what to do about anti-social behaviour are being run by a housing provider in Wolverhampton all week.
Wolverhampton Homes, which manages most of the council homes in the city, has planned a week of activities including patrols, meetings, a Q&A session and a rough sleeper outreach walkabout.
The events, which are set out on its website, external, are part of a national campaign organised by the charity Resolve, called ASB Awareness Week, starting on Monday.
City of Wolverhampton Council, West Midlands Police and schools are also taking part.
The council has urged people not to suffer in silence if they experience anti-social behaviour, but rather to report incidents to the anti-social behaviour team, the housing provider, or police.
Councillor Obaida Ahmed, cabinet member for digital and community, said: "We know that anti-social behaviour can cause a great deal of distress.
"That's why we’re committed to working with the public and other organisations across Wolverhampton to investigate and resolve issues as soon as possible."
Ch Insp Nathan Murray said: “West Midlands Police take reports of anti-social behaviour very seriously and are committed to tackling it swiftly, firmly and fairly."
He said: "I’d encourage residents to get involved and learn more."
