A riding school says it is worried fly-tippers will dump more rubbish at the entrance to their site after five sofas and other items were abandoned there.

Debdale Riding School in Cookley, Kidderminster, said that heavy duty white bags filled with "everything and anything" were left at the weekend.

Owner Megan Share said they had to hire a digger and a dumper to remove the rubbish and hoped that it was a one-off.

"We're just worried that with us cleaning it up, they think they can come back and tip," she stated. "It jeopardises us with our clients."

The riding school said that the rubbish had to be removed quickly because it would have "spooked" the horses, meaning that no one could have ridden out of the school.

It said it was yet to contact the authorities over the matter. The BBC has contacted the local council for comment.
