A takeaway restaurant where illegal workers were found has withdrawn its bid for an alcohol licence.

The previous licence for Chicken n Beer in Stanfield Road, Bournemouth, was revoked in May after immigration officials saw a man and a woman run out of it in February.

Cloud Brands Ltd applied for a new licence but Dorset Police said it had "significant concerns" about the relationship between its owner and the man previously responsible for the bar.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council licencing committee, which had been due to determine the application, said it had now been withdrawn by the applicant.
