Temporary speed limits on the route have now been lifted
- Published
Temporary speed limits put in place on a major route connecting the north with the Isle of Man's capital during the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT have been lifted.
The A18 Mountain Road was closed from 10:00 until 12:00 BST for signage to be removed, with limits returning to normal when the route reopened.
A restriction of 50mph (80km/h) was put in place from Ramsey Hairpin to the Gooseneck, while a 60mph (97km/h) limit was in force from Keppel Gate to Hillberry for the duration of the event.
A further closure will take place between 8 and 9 September to allow for the removal of race equipment and barriers.
That comes ahead of a five-week closure of the southern section from Brandywell and Creg Ny Baa corner for drainage improvement and resurfacing works from 15 September.
