Two of Blackpool's heritage trams have been cleared to return to service for the town's Lightpool festival.
Next month's event, which takes place between 15 October and 1 November, will feature a range of dazzling light installations.
The tram service was suspended in December due to safety fears and issues with depot space.
However, the two trams - one decorated in the style of a ship - are set for a comeback after Blackpool Council agreed to undertake a "programme of works" with Blackpool Transport Services and they will be used for a series of pre-bookable tours, running along the seafront.
Council leader Lynn Williams said: "They are a big part of our history and heritage, and it will be great to see them back on the tracks."

Tram 736 - HMS Blackpool is set to sail along Blackpool's Promenade again
Martin Gurr, heritage operations manager at Blackpool Trams, said final preparations were being put in place for the transfer of both trams to the Starr Gate depot, where they can be prepared for service.
"Both trams have played a prominent role in the history of Blackpool's tramway, and it's fitting they will be the first from our historic fleet returning to the promenade following a complete overhaul of our heritage operations," Mr Gurr added.
One of several feature trams created specifically to carry passengers on tours through the famous Blackpool Illuminations, HMS Blackpool was designed to resemble a sea-going frigate.
Equipped with strings of lights and even a ship's horn, the novelty vehicle has become a firm favourite with tram fans.
Tram 717 was built in 1934 by English Electric Co as one of 27 highly capable double-decker trams with a unique balloon shape.
The flagship of the heritage fleet, it was fully restored in 2000 complete with its original striking green and cream livery.
