A charity is appealing for information after a PA system was stolen from its community arts space in Coventry.

The gear was taken during a break-in early on Saturday at the LTB Showrooms (LTB), based in the Litten Tree pub, where a gig had taken place hours earlier.

Alan Denyer, who runs the non-profit venue, said the speaker system had "been gifted" to the charity in July and urged anyone with information to get in contact.

West Midlands Police have been contacted for comment.

The PA system is "quite distinctive," said LTB Showrooms owner Alan Denyer

Mr Denyer said the "distinctive" PA system was taken from a back storage room at the venue after he locked up and left at 00:30 BST.

Upon returning to the building, he said he noticed the speakers were missing, but there was no sign of forced entry or damage.

"It's a bit odd," he said. "No signs of break-in, anywhere in the building."

"We had a gig with some bands on Friday night," he explained. "All went fine, there was about 50 to 60 people there."

The community arts and music venue, which includes a cafe, art gallery and free exhibition space, has been operating since 2021.

Mr Denyer appealed for anyone with information to get in contact.

"I gift the space to anyone doing anything positive in the city," he said of the venue.

"We don't exist to make money. I just try and make Coventry a better place."
