Guernsey Marinas has apologised after some boat owners were charged for electricity even though they did not have a power supply.

Several boat owners complained on social media about receiving bills for £54 - the annual electricity service charge.

Boat owner Lee Eggimann said: "The harbour office was great and has organised a refund but I doubt they would [have] if I hadn't have noticed".

A spokesperson for Guernsey Marinas apologised to "berth holders who have been charged in error".

"Our marine service and finance teams are working to resolve this issue and process any refunds promptly," they said.

Customers who were affected should contact the Marine Services Centre, the spokesperson said.
