Man charged with murder after west Belfast stabbing

A man has been charged with murder after another man was fatally stabbed in west Belfast on Thursday.

Shane Lowry, who was in his 30s, died following the incident in Mulberry Park in Twinbrook.

It happened at about 20:15 BST as children were playing on the street.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday.

He has been charged with murder and possession of a blade or point and is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
