Ambulance crew hurt in crash after police pursuit

Two ambulance crew members were injured in a crash involving a car which was being pursued by police.
Three members of the public also needed medical attention after the crash which happened at the roundabout of junction four of the M2 (Gillingham) shortly before 21:00 BST on Friday.
Kent Police said officers had signalled to a blue Volkswagen Golf, which was "being driven in a dangerous manner" on the motorway, to stop, before the car crashed with the ambulance, which was not carrying any patients.
Two men and a teenage boy were arrested on suspicion of driving offences including causing serious injury by dangerous driving, the force said.
South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) said the ambulance was travelling to a hospital transfer.
It also said the two female ambulance crew members suffered non-life threatening injuries, and that one had been taken to hospital in London and the other taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
An air ambulance was also called to the scene.
Junctions four and five (Stockbury) of the M2 were closed while the incident was dealt with and the road was reopened at about 06:30 on Saturday, Kent Police said.
