Works to force partial closure of reservoir path

The first phase of the closure is expected to last 12 weeks

A route around a popular reservoir is to be partially closed to allow water company Severn Trent to carry out essential upgrade work and increase its capacity.
Parts of the circular path around Draycote Water in Warwickshire will be closed in phases from Monday 13 October until the completion of the work which is expected to be autumn 2026.
During the first part of the construction the path will be closed for 12 weeks from Farborough Bank, Toft Bank and up to the memorial garden, said Severn Trent.
A second phase would see the path from the sailing club, along Hensborough Bank up to Valve Tower closed.
"We know this may be disappointing for visitors, so we're putting measures in place to thank you for your patience," Severn Trent said.
The parking tariff has been lowered to the lowest day rate, at £3.50 and all permits that are valid on 13 October will be extended by six months.
