Residents in a Huddersfield village have been warned of months of disruption ahead of a major water mains replacement scheme, beginning on Monday.
Yorkshire Water will replace 1.8 miles (2.9km) of pipework in Stocksmoor, which it said would improve the reliability of the drinking water supply to the village and reduce leaks.
Work will begin on Station Road on Monday, with pipes also due to be replaced on Derwin Avenue and Thunder Bridge Lane before the project is completed in the summer of 2026.
Penistone Road, Dam Hill and Birks Lane will also be affected by the works.
Road closures and temporary traffic lights will be put in place, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.
Project manager Shaun Chapman said: "This scheme is the third of six schemes taking place in the Kirklees district in the first year of our five-year investment period, having recently completed a scheme in Kirkheaton, and one in Grange Moor."
"We'll be working quickly and doing everything that we can to keep disruption to a minimum whilst we deliver this important work. We thank everyone in the area for their patience."
