Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a large household waste site in Sheffield.

Crews were called to Warren Street at about 03:00 BST to reports of a large amount of waste on fire at an industrial unit.

Over 20 firefighters were sent, with some expected to remain at the scene throughout the day, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

A spokesperson said the fire was "under control" and crews were damping down.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place once the blaze was completely extinguished, they added.
