A house burglar has been jailed after police found him via a tracker on a van he had stolen.
Cambridgeshire Police said Marcus Ellis, 29, was arrested after officers found him close to the vehicle he had taken in Wisbech and recognised him for breaching a court order.
He was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court to one year and three months in prison after he pleaded guilty to burglary and theft of a vehicle.
Det Con Rhiann Ward said: "Ellis was foiled by the tracker on the van and a quick-thinking officer."
Doorbell footage showed Ellis and an unknown man entering the house just after the homeowner had left. It showed them leaving with items, including ignition keys for the van parked on the drive.
On his arrest, Ellis was wearing the same clothes and distinctive shoes seen in the video footage. He was also identified via his neck tattoo.
Ellis, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to one year and three months for burglary and was given an eight month sentence, to run concurrently, for theft.
