Man dies and one seriously injured in two-car crash

A man has died and another is seriously injured after a two-car crash on a Cambridgeshire road.

Emergency services were called to the A1307 near Swavesey on Sunday at about 18:15 BST after a black MG HS was involved in a collision with a white Audi A6.

The driver of the MG died at the scene.

The driver of the Audi, a man in his 60s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He is in a serious, but stable, condition.

The road was closed and reopened at about 01:00 on Friday.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles in the build-up to it should contact online the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Cambridgeshire Police.
