Police seek Good Samaritans after teen girl raped

Police want to trace a woman who helped the girl and two boys, thought to be teenagers, who intervened

Three people described by police as Good Samaritans are being urged to come forward after a teenage girl was raped in Reading.
The girl was approached by two men who tried to chat to her as she walked along Oxford Road near to Beresford Road on Saturday shortly after 22:00 GMT.
The men, both described as slim, white, bald and clean shaven, walked the girl to Prince of Wales Avenue between Elm Park Road and Albany Road where she was attacked.
Thames Valley Police want to speak to two boys, possibly teenagers, who stepped in and had an altercation with the two men on Prince of Wales Avenue at about 22:25 and a black woman who then helped the girl on Elm Park Road.
Det Insp Sukhveer Sokhi said: "I appreciate that this offence will cause concern in the local community.
"I can reassure local residents that Thames Valley Police is conducting a thorough investigation."
The three Good Samaritans are being urged to visit a police station or contact the force by phone or online, Det Insp Sokhi said: "What you saw and heard will help our investigation."
The force said officers were also visiting homes and checking CCTV in the area.
