Four people have been injured after a shotgun was fired near a pub.

Two men, one aged in his 20s and another in his 40s, and two women, one in her 50s and another in her 20s, suffered minor injuries.

The Dunkirk Hall pub said it was closed earlier while the police carried out forensic investigations.

The pub posted on Facebook no one had been seriously injured and all staff and customers were fine.

In a statement on its social media page, the Dunkirk Hall said: "Just to quell any rumours, no one has been seriously injured and all staff and customers are fine."
