Firefighters called to large blaze on farmland

Firefighters have attended a blaze which is believed to have broken out at a farm.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed eight fire crews were sent to deal with the fire at Kirklington Road in Bilsthorpe just before 13:00 BST on Thursday.

A large plume of smoke was seen in the area.

People living nearby have been urged to keep door and windows shut and avoid the immediate area.
