Bananarama among acts to play at Kelvingrove bandstand

Glasgow's Summer Nights festival line-up at the Kelvingrove Bandstand has been announced.
The bands playing at the Regular Music event include Bananarama, Johnny Marr, Echo & the Bunnymen and Gabrielle.
The award-winning festival is celebrating its ninth year in 2024.
Mark Mackie, director of Regular Music said the organisers were "thrilled" to be hosting the line-up as the bandstand celebrates its centenary.
The artists and dates for Summer Nights at the Bandstand in 2024 are:
Tuesday 23 July - Gabrielle
Wednesday 24 July - The Midnight
Thursday 25 July - Johnny Marr
Friday 26 July - Bill Bailey
Tuesday 30 July - Future Islands
Thursday 1 August - Squeeze
Friday 2 August - The Teskey Brothers
Saturday 3 August - Ziggy Alberts
Wednesday 7 August - The Saw Doctors
Thursday 8 August - Echo & the Bunnymen
Friday 9 August - Echo & the Bunnymen
Saturday 10 August - Bananarama
The 90-year-old venue, which holds 2,500 people, was reopened following a £2m redevelopment project in 2014, having closed in 1999.
The festival, which runs from the end of July into August each year, received the Unesco City of Music Best Live Event at the Scottish Music Awards in 2017.
Tickets for the concerts go on sale on Friday at 09:00.
