Driver dies after car crash in Western Isles

A 73-year-old man has died after his car crashed on Lewis in the Western Isles.
He was the sole occupant of the grey Renault Captur when the crash happened on the A859 near Balallan at 11:40 on Tuesday.
The man was treated at Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, but died a short time later.
The road was closed until about 23:00 to allow for an investigation at the scene, and Police Scotland has appealed for information, external.
