Boy, 8, dies after crash in Dilton Marsh

An eight-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a vehicle.

Wiltshire Police said the collision took place in Woodland View, Dilton Marsh, Wiltshire, at about 16:30 BST on Saturday.

Officers said the boy was fatally wounded and died at the scene. They said: "His next of kin are aware, and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time."

Police said a man in his 30s was being interviewed in relation to the death.

Officers have asked anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage to get in touch.
