Ice cream van whipped away over 'flaky' insurance

The van gave police 99 problems but a lift was not one

Police who were not cone-vinced about an ice cream van have whipped it off the road.
Officers stopped the van in Leiston, Suffolk, on Wednesday, after a "sprinkle of doubt" about what it was doing on a dark, chilly evening.
Posting about their scoop on Facebook with a photo of the van on a trailer, Halesworth Police said they had "a flaky response about an insurance policy".
"After about 99 inquiries, no valid insurance could be provided so the vehicle was freezed, I mean seized," the post said.
