Nottingham Express Transit (NET) has announced planned maintenance work later this month, which is set to affect the QMC and Beeston zones.

There will be no trams running between the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane stops from 16:00 GMT on 17 November and for the rest of that day.

A normal tram service will return to all stops from 18 November at 06:00, when the works are due to be completed.

The work would enable adjustments to the electricity wires within overhead line equipment, strengthening the network and reducing the risk of technical failure, NET said.

It means there will be no service to Central College, Chilwell High Road, Beeston Centre, Middle Street and University Boulevard.

To minimise disruption, a replacement bus service will be provided, but it will only collect passengers from the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane tram stops, and will not be stopping at any others in between.

A number of road closures and diversions will also be in place during the works, with the Beeston Interchange - including all bus stops within it - affected.
