A motorcycle rider remains in hospital

Two people were taken to hospital after a motorcycle and a car crashed in Plymouth, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it was called to the crash involving a black Kawasaki motorcycle and a black Citroen C4 at about 16:25 GMT on Monday.

The force said it happened at the junction of Flora Street and Union Street.

It said a male motorcyclist, 19, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

A male pillion passenger, 19, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries, the force said.

The driver of the car, a woman aged 28, was checked over for minor injuries.

Police have asked witnesses to get in touch.
