Late night rescue after two people stranded by tide

The coastguard sent a helicopter from Lee-on-the-Solent to look for the pair

Two people have been rescued from a bay on the Isle of Wight after they were cut off by the tide in the dark.
The coastguard was alerted to the pair at Luccombe Bay, near Ventnor, just before 22:00 GMT on Saturday.
A helicopter, a Bembridge RNLI lifeboat and Bembridge and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue teams joined the search.
HM Coastguard said the two people were taken to shore by the lifeboat.
