Ferry sailings resume after weekend cancellations

Ferry sailings between the Isle of Man and the north of England have resumed after a weekend of cancellations due to Storm Bert.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet called off all its sailings between Douglas and Liverpool and Heysham due to gales over the Irish Sea.
A yellow weather warning was in place on Saturday for winds of up to 70mph (112km/h) and heavy rainfall.
The continuing strong winds also let to Monday's 08:45 GMT sailing of the Manxman to Heysham being pushed back by more than an hour.
As a knock-on effect of that, the afternoon's Douglas-bound return is also set depart later at 15:30, with a corresponding delay added to the evening and overnight sailings of the flagship vessel.
