A busy junction in Gloucester has reopened following a car crash.

Police were called to a single-vehicle incident near to the traffic lights at the crossroads of Eastern Avenue and Metz Way.

Road closures had been in place in Eastern Avenue towards Abbeymead. Emergency services have now left the scene.

Gloucestershire Police said the driver of the vehicle involved has not sustained any injuries, but was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for assessment.
