Emergency services were called to a beauty spot in the Peak District amid fears a woman had suffered a heart attack.

Members of the Kinder Mountain Rescue Team and an air ambulance were called after the woman started suffering symptoms at the top of the Kinder Low steps in Derbyshire at about 16:30 BST on Sunday.

After observations by an air ambulance paramedic, it was suspected the illness was not cardiac-related, but she "was clearly unwell".

The casualty was stretchered down the landmark and was eventually taken to hospital by an ambulance.

A spokesperson for the mountain rescue team said: "We hope the lady has a speedy recovery."
