A man has been charged after a cyclist died in a crash with a van in Nottinghamshire.

Robert Noble, 57, from Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, died at the scene following the collision near the junction of Rampton Road and Cottam Road in Treswell on Sunday morning.

Nottinghamshire Police said a 25-year-old man had been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road traffic collision and driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.

He has been released on bail with conditions and is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 27 February.
