Two drug dealers have been jailed as part of a crackdown on exploitation and illegal drugs.
A police raid in Peterborough found two mobile phones linking Luis Jalo, 24, and Luca Dagostino, 23, to the "Luca" drug line.
Jalo, of Blessington Road, Lewisham, south-east London, admitted possession of cannabis and being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin and was jailed for five years and nine months.
Dagostino, of Regal Place, Peterborough, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin and was jailed for two years and seven months.
'Violence and misery'
When police raided a home in Oakdale Avenue, Peterborough, on 7 February they found nine mobile phones, including two linking the pair to the drug line.
The investigation, part of Operation Hypernova 2.0, was carried out alongside the Metropolitan Police Orochi Team, the Eastern Regional Specialist Operation Unit (ERSOU) and the British Transport Police.
The pair pleaded guilty on 7 March and were sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court a week later.
Det Con James Walker-Harrison said: "Jalo and Dagostino are the first people to be sentenced as part of this operation to make the county hostile towards county lines drug dealers and prevent further exploitation of young and vulnerable people.
“The violence associated to this lifestyle routinely results in the use of violence and causes misery to our communities.
"Our work to ensure people like these two are put before the courts and ultimately in prison, will continue.”
