PC who touched female colleagues is sacked

- Published
A police officer has been sacked for making inappropriate comments to five female colleagues and touching them.
PC Fraser Walsham's improper behaviour took place between September 2024 and February.
Eleven allegations against him were found proven after a five-day hearing by Essex Police, which dismissed him from the force.
Deputy Chief Constable Rachel Nolan said his behaviour "fell way below" the standards expected.
Walsham's behaviour was said to have been "persistent" and included the sending of inappropriate messages.
The hearing in Chelmsford found he had committed gross misconduct.
Ms Nolan said: "No-one should go to work and feel harassed, and working for the police is no different.
"His actions are particularly unacceptable when considering the force's commitment to protecting women and girls."
She praised the complainants for coming forward and reporting Walsham.
