A miniature pony called Mini Mouse has been stolen from its stable during a burglary over the bank holiday weekend.

Cambridgeshire Police said the brown and white six-year-old animal was taken from The Butts in Soham at some point between 17:00 BST on Sunday and 09:30 on Monday.

Sgt Tom Nuttall from the force's rural crime action team added: "This miniature pony, though small in size, is a big part of a family."

He appealed anyone with information to come forward and asked for any relevant dashcam or doorbell footage to be shared with officers.
