A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after she fell on a bus in Hull, police have said.

The passenger was reported to have fallen to the floor as EYMS bus service number 57 departed from a bus stop on Holderness Road at about 17:30 BST on Friday, Humberside Police said.

"Emergency services attended the scene and a 67-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment for life-threatening injuries," a force spokesperson said.

They appealed for passengers who were on the bus at the time of the incident, which happened as the bus was travelling westbound near the junction of Bellfield Avenue, to contact them.
