Driver on wrong side of road jailed after crash

A man who caused a head-on crash by driving on the wrong side of the road has been jailed.

A Land Rover being driven by Jean Dias collided with a white Ford Fiesta while travelling on the wrong side of the A21 near Robertsbridge, East Sussex, for at least 10 seconds, Sussex Police said.

The collision in January 2023 left the driver of the Ford Fiesta, a 54-year-old man from Hastings, with life-changing injuries.

Dias, 44, from Sandown Way, Bexhill, admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving at Lewes Crown Court on 19 April.
