Police given more time to question murder suspect

Police have been granted extra time to question a murder suspect after a man was fatally stabbed in Nottingham.

The 59-year-old man died at the scene and a 33-year-old woman was found with significant but not life-threatening injuries when officers were called to Cinderhill Walk, Bulwell, at about 13:45 BST on Sunday.

Two men, aged 43 and 30, were detained on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

On Tuesday, Nottinghamshire Police said it had been given extra time to question the 43-year-old, while the 30-year-old had been released without charge.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information.
