A man has been charged with manslaughter after the death of a construction worker nearly four years ago.

Suffolk Police was called to Haughgate Close in Woodbridge on the afternoon of 15 December 2020.

Dale Baker, 30, from Felixstowe had sustained serious injuries while carrying out renovations on a house and died at the scene.

Peter Clifford, 62, of Holland Road, Felixstowe is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court on 15 November.

He is accused of gross negligence manslaughter and two charges of failing to discharge the employer's general duty under health and safety rules.

It follows a joint investigation by Suffolk Police and the Health and Safety Executive.
