A man has been charged following carjackings in Birmingham.

The 34-year-old, who was arrested on Monday, is accused of attempting to force drivers out of their vehicles and threatening them with violence in a series of incidents in the city centre.

The man, of no fixed address, faces two charges of robbery, two of criminal damage and one of dangerous driving.

He was due to appear before magistrates in Birmingham on Wednesday.
