A popular Worcestershire pub landlord was remembered by family, friends and customers on Monday.
Alex Pope, 39, had been the landlord at The Paul Pry in Worcester at the time of his death.
The business confirmed his "sudden passing" on 15 January, adding that those who worked with him were "beyond devastated".
At 13:15 GMT a crowd of former customers gathered outside The Paul Pry to watch the funeral procession pass on its way to Worcester Cathedral.
A friend of Mr Pope's, who was among the large crowd, described him as a "top bloke".
Ashley Handley told the BBC: "He loved to live, he was a keen traveller and golfer.
"He was very welcoming, very smart and people just gravitated towards him and that is why the brewery (Pope's Brewing Company) was a success and The Paul Pry was a success."
A customer of The Paul Pry added: "It is hard to put into words what the family must be going through.
"The community has lost one of its lights."
