Much of the West Midlands is under a yellow weather warning for rain on Thursday as Storm Benjamin arrives.

The latest storm has been named by Météo France and will bring wet and windy weather to the UK.

Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands conurbation are covered by the rainfall alert, which could lead to localised flooding and difficult driving conditions, the Met Office, external has warned.

The yellow warning, which has a medium likelihood and a low impact, is in place from 00:00 BST until 21:00 BST on Thursday.

However the Met Office has advised that warning levels can change quickly.

The most severe impacts of Storm Benjamin are predicted to be felt across France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
