Eighties pop star Billy Ocean is set to play at a stately home after a second day in a weekend of live music event has been announced.

He will be joined by Jason Donovan and former Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley at the Let’s Rock festival at Delapre Park in Northampton on 15 June.

The Let's Rock festival started in 2009 and will take place at six venues across the UK this summer, visiting Northampton for the very first time this year.

Ocean said: "I genuinely love playing Let’s Rock, the atmosphere is always brilliant."

It was revealed earlier this week that James Arthur, the 2012 winner of ITV's X Factor, will then headline a new one-day concert called A Perfect Day, at Delapre Park the following day.

Other big names announced for the Let's Rock festival, external include Go West, The Boomtown Rats, Heaven 17, and Altered Images.

The Park, in the grounds of Delapre Abbey, was the home of the Tate and Bouverie families for 400 years.

The abbey opened to the public in 2018 following a £6m restoration project.

Adam Brown, deputy leader of West Northamptonshire Council, said the event would "highlight nationally our host venue, Delapre Abbey, which is already leading the way as a major attraction".
