The Streets have been added to the list of acts due to perform at Ludlow Castle next summer.

They are due to appear on 23 July and plan to play their A Grand Don't Come for Free album in full.

They will follow Snow Patrol on 16 July and Human League on 18 July and will be followed by Richard Ashcroft on 25 July.

It will be the fourth year the castle has hosted the concerts, which have featured artists including Supergrass, Elbow, Texas and Olly Murs.

Tickets will go on sale to people living in Ludlow and the surround area first, from 15 October, and then go on general sale from 17 October.

The Streets, originally from Birmingham, claimed a number one with Dry Your Eyes in 2004, with the aforementioned album reaching number one in the album charts.

They also had hits with Fit But You Know It and Blinded by the Lights.

Support acts for the group are yet to be revealed.
