Police are appealing for dashcam footage after a motorcyclist died in a crash in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Emergency services were called to the B6023 Alfreton Road at about 23:20 BST on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old man, who had been riding the motorbike in the direction of the A38, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash, said Nottinghamshire Police.
The road was closed overnight while investigations took place but has since reopened, added the force.
Det Insp Jamie Moore said specially-trained officers were supporting the man's family.
He added: "The thoughts of the investigation team are with the family of the motorcyclist following this tragic incident."
