Construction workers have spruced up a building site in Nottinghamshire with old hard hats turned into hanging baskets.
The works to a culvert in Woodborough started in July and are due to end in October, meaning a section of the village's main street is a building site.
Jackson Civil Engineering admitted their arrival had caused "some concerns" about appearances, so they worked with locals to make it fit in better.
Amanda Mellor, 52, a volunteer for Woodborough in Bloom, said: "Previously it looked like a building site - because that's exactly what it was.

Villagers have thanked the team for making their building site look a little bit more appealing
"It now has really prettied it up and added a fun element.
"I love them, I think it's really kind of them to do it."
She added the team were out twice a week to water the Woodborough in Bloom planters using their portable water tank.
The company has been hired by the Environment Agency to improve the protective screen of a culvert to stop it getting blocked by debris.
After speaking to the Woodborough in Bloom team about how they could integrate into the village, they asked one of the construction team to make the hanging baskets.
Ravi Darigala, Jackson's regional director, said he had been to the site and "got a nice shout out from a passer-by".
"Much nicer than the usual comments," he added.
