Arrest after injured man dies outside his home

John Taylor was found seriously injured outside his home

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of another man in North Ayrshire.

John Taylor, 44, was found seriously injured outside his home in Pollock Crescent in Kilwinning at about 13:55 on Friday.

Emergency services were called but Mr Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said a 26-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with his death.

The arrested man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

Detectives previously asked anyone with information to contact them, and have set up a website where information can be submitted anonymously.
