Supported living development plans approved

A property in Park Road has been granted permission to be turned into a home for supported adults
- Published
Plans for a new supported living development for adults have been approved.
Permission was granted after the applicant revised plans and reduced the number of bedrooms from nine to six, in Park Road, Peterborough.
The specialised supported housing scheme would help people with mental health issues, although it could also cater for other forms of supported living.
The development would also have a lounge and kitchen facilities, and is expected to create five full-time jobs and two part-time jobs.
Peterborough City Council planners approved the application on 11 September, subject to various conditions, including the submission of a car parking management plan.
Ten existing parking spaces would be provided with five at the front and five at the rear, said the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
As part of the supported living development, there would be two recreational/social areas, with a TV area and games consoles.
